Suzani at Yeshi's
A couple of weekends ago we rented a house at Muir Beach from a sweet, earthy, midwife lady named, Yeshi. Her house was filled with all sorts of mementos from her world travels. One of her treasures that I thought was particularly striking was this beautiful suzani textile hanging on the wall. Suzani has been hot topic in design circles for the past couple of years, along with a renewed interest in ikat fabrics. I love both styles of fabric and am happy that they are currently en vogue. I like them best in moderation and in unexpected places. You can see below there was a lot more going on at Yeshi's place, textile-wise. If you like textiles from around the world, you might enjoy clicking around the web to look at some recent pretty textile posts from; Coco + Kelly, Decor 8, Design*Sponge and Lanalou style.
