Fall & Winter Fresh Picks

Not much in the way of excitement to report over at FPS, I saw this band last Friday. They were good, but not AS good as I was hoping they might be. They sound more polished on their recordings and I wish they had a couple of extra band members to always be playing keyboards. These bands that always play along to their pre-recorded beats/tracks are a little difficult to get excited for. (photo from Knitting Factory show by JalapeƱo)

My last calendar is close to an expiration date. Therefore, a new list of shows & activities is order to inspire my mid-semester Monday morning. Tonight, I'm going to have to skip Swedish rockers, Dungen show. They are playing too small of venue that's sold out. So, let's have another youtube. Here's one from Dungen's last album.

I really love the Army Navy album, and they're playing the Rickshaw on Nov 16. Probably too '90s indie-rock for your "readership" but still...

Great stuff on your list. Let's go to a show! Others:

Nov 23: Little Dragon at Du Nord
Nov 23: Rodriguez at GAMH
Dec 9: Dressy Bessy at Rickshaw
Dec 12: Mudhoney, Wooden Shjips at Indy
