Frenchie Sixties Fashions

Gearing up for French mod style inspiration, I thought it might be fun to go on a French fashion flashback, featuring two of the leaders of sixties style, Yves Saint Laurent vs. Pierre Cardin. It is apparent that the looks created in the sixties by these French fashion fellows still influence fashion today. (photo by Willy Rizzo from habituallychic.blogspot.com)

Here's what YSL was designing in the sixties, he recently passed away and left behind a fashion legacy.

YSL designed for the film, Belle Du Jour with Catherine Deneuve

Here's what PC was designing in the sixties in groovy colors...

It all still looks pretty fresh, right?

Yeah, I think the lady in the tie, skirt and hat might be my fave. I also like the long skirt dresses from Pierre too.
